Lucy provides consulting, training and one-to-one coaching in all areas of business management: from high level strategy to practical actions plans and PR. Since 2009, she has worked with almost 100 small and medium sized businesses - many of them architectural practices - across the UK. Other recent clients have included landscape architects, planning consultants and property developers.
For small business owners and sole practitioners, Lucy offers one-to-one consultancy focused on urgent issues such as winning new work, moving into new markets, growing rapidly or succession planning. Fees start at £495 for a 2 hour consultation.
For larger businesses, Lucy offers support to managers and directors facing issues concerning commercial strategy, growth strategy, organisational structure, succession planning, marketing and business development. She facilitates workshops, delivers training, undertakes research, produces reports and make practical recommendations.
As an ARB qualified and RIBA chartered architect, Lucy has also delivered RIBA CPD training in marketing and business planning and lectured to graduate students at Oxford Brookes University, Birmingham City University, London Metropolitan University, London South Bank University, UCL The Bartlett and the University of Cambridge. In 2013, she provided RIBA Core Curriculum training in 13 cities round the UK - on Internal Management - Business Planning and Marketing for Architects.
Lucy also works as a 'Client Design Adviser' developing briefs for complex projects, selecting effective construction procurement teams and project managing the process. Retail is an area of particular expertise and she worked on the Summertown Neighbourhood Plan for North Oxford as a volunteer for 3 years.
In 2011-2012, Lucy worked extensively with the RIBA editing their Procurement Reform Position Paper which was published in May 2012 and is talking to RIBA Publications about a new book on practice management.
Lucy works extensively with architects and her mission is to make architects more 'business savvy'. For architects too busy to tweet - Lucy can manage their social media profile.
